Ayr Racecourse Success

Ayr Racecourse and Racecourse Express got together to provide Racegoers an opportunity to buy a ticket and transport package which saw substantial rises in the number of people attending the Racecourse during 2008.

On Scottish National Day Ayr Racecourse had their largest crowd in 25 years with some 17,000 racegoers attending on this day alone. Racecourse Express provided 12 x coaches from local pickup points in Glasgow and Hamilton, East Kilbride, Motherwell, Kilmarnock and Irvine for the Racecourse.

Racecourse Express also provided Grand National customers with coaches for private parties attending the races attracted by the idea and the publicity Ayr Racecourse kindly provided. Due to the continued interest and success with the Ticket and Transport packages at Ayr both companies are providing the service for future racedays at Ayr.

Operations Director for Racecourse Express has said that providing customers with this sort of package is an ideal way of bringing groups of people from far and wide who would normally use their Cars helping the Racecourse cut down on it's carbon footprint.
